princess pink and blue eyes with urban decay mariposa palette

today's listening 21st may; basement jaxx, plug it in (kish kash)

I call this princess makeup because it's pink and blue together to me it always creates that kind of Princess Aurora style vibes in my head as I think of the two colours merging. I have had this Urban Decay Mariposa palette for ages, and as you can see in the pics I usually reach for the bronze shades in it. I came across it today and decided to create a more brighter look with two of the shades, Infamous - a bright pink, and Haight - a soft cobalt blue.
I first used a little bit of Skimp as a highlight in the corner of my eyes to define the socket and highlight under the brow bone. This look was so easy from here on in, I just used my fingers and dabbed on a bit of Infamous in the inner corner, Haight in the outer corner and then blended the two really gently with a soft blending brush.

I also used Haight in my eyebrows to compliment the eye look, and finished with a soft swish of my favourite blusher which is Estee Lauder Tease, and then Clarins Instant Lip Perfector in shade 04.

Don't be first to dismiss the brighter shades in a palette like this, they can create some really soft pretty princess eyes! Give it a go! What do you think of this kind of look? Do you like these colours?

Love, Zozo

Disclaimer: I bought the Urban Decay palette ages ago, but the Estee Lauder and Clarins products I mentioned were PR samples.

This week I feel like I didn't take many pictures of stuff? Not really like me. Don't really know why! Either way, again it's been fairly busy. It started with me having a little meeting with Zoe Hardman to discuss all things Samsung Galaxy S4 and to have a little play with our own new phones, and see how they fit into our lifestyle. Zoe is so lovely, we had a really nice meeting and it was lovely to meet her.

I then the next day headed to Manchester to do some more DJing in Selfridges, this time was at the Manchester Exchange Square store, and it was so much fun! Apart from having to turn it down due to MAC giving talks next to me (damn you MAC!) it was a right giggle and I loved meeting the gorgeous ladies of Manchester. I had my makeup done by Giorgio Armani and they did such a great job, I felt really confident and that my makeup was lovely. I stayed in the Malmaison Hotel which was just gorgeous, and had one of the best nights sleep i've had in a long time!

I then headed back to London and straight to the Selfridges London store to tick a huge thing off my bucketlist, and that was to take over the music on the ground floor of the store for three hours. Wow. What an iconic store, and what a privilege. I had such a good time and still couldn't quite believe myself. I needed a little calm me down so grabbed my friend George and some of the VICE lot for some drinks at the Old Blue Last in Shoreditch and I went to bed a very happy girl that night.

The next day after doing a little catwalk shoot for Fusefashion.com (more on that coming soon!) George took me to the Natural History Museum which was the best Friday treat ever! I learneded all about Dinosaurs and rocks and bears but no Earthquakes cos the Earthquake bit was shut :(. We were definitely some of the oldest people there, but it was so much fun and I spent the whole day smiling. After some mexican food, mojitos and a few jd and cokes later we ended up watching a really random metal Metallica wannabe band in The Intrepid Fox. Brilliant.

Last night was Eurovision aka the best day of the year and I had such a blast. Sorry if you followed me on twitter and you don't like the Eurovision, cos I sent probably my most number of tweets ever. Today has been spent sulking in front of the Spurs game, a win, but a bittersweet one as we were still beaten by Arsenal to finish 5th in the table. Sigh. Doesn't help that i'm off out to North London now...

Happy Sunday! See you next week.
